Vietnamese roots, Louisiana soul, bold flavors for every day.

Chào Ban is my love letter to Vietnamese food—the flavors I grew up with and the way I want to eat today. I wanted to create a place where bold, honest Vietnamese cooking feels easy, approachable, and fun, without losing technique or soul.

I’m building Chào Ban with my longtime friend and partner Alan Vo, a fellow Vietnamese-American from Louisiana. Our shared roots and different regional experiences shape the food—deeply seasoned, a little playful, and full of personality.

Here, we cook with fresh herbs, deeply seasoned broths, and sauces that don’t hold back. No rules, no gatekeeping—just food meant to be shared, enjoyed, and repeated.

Chào Ban means “hello, friend,” and that’s exactly how we want everyone to feel when they walk through the door.
